Men don’t love like women do
I don’t belong here. I closed the door and left. The note was folded three times beside the mattress and kissed once. Men are different, they don’t see love as a process, they see it as a serendipity moment.
She had soft white skin and a small mouth. She hated everyone, especially girls with legs that weren’t straight. She always said that she didn’t want kids but loved the idea of naming them with names from the Bible.
It all starts with a coffee and ends with a glass of red wine that lasts too little. For women it’s different, they decide to fall in love, they put everything in place and wait.
She had burn marks on her hand and small ears. She loved every dog on the street but hated the way I looked at other girls. She never went to bed without taking a shower and hated smelly sheets.
It was a warm night and smelled of fresh bloomed flowers. Nobody was sleeping, kids were watching TV and the moms and dads where eating the leftovers. Smelled like saturday.
She woke up and went to the toilet, 2 minutes and 5 seconds, never forgets to flush. She looked at me and opened another bottle of wine. I had my serendipity moment, the note was in my stomach.
