Radu’s Aberdeen Experience
[see the full set on Flickr]
After months of Radu opening his mouth and echoing that he is coming to visit me and Miss T, he packed his bag with gifts and finally came, big time. It was a sensual experience, because we can’t say that we kept an intimate connection over the years that passed, an email here and there, a couple of lines of random chat and that was it. But things did not change and the invisible wires that made us friends are still there, working in the background. We did not have the uncomfortable tension that develops between old friends in our situation, as the events developed in moments that will later become a sweet melancholy.
We rejoiced in the miracle that is the scottish sun and made the most of the three days that the three of us had together. We created playlist, walked miles, ate more than ever, smiled more than usual, played mind challenging games, walked on sand and grass, woke up early in the mornings and took single showers. In our case, Churchill was wrong about friends, they are not like clothes, they don’t wear thin and we don’t grow out of them.
P.S. Don’t judge this flow of words as a sentimental burst of candy-like cliche, as you would usually do, because it would be out of line.
